1975 Ford Mustang Production & Sales Numbers

Cosmetic changes were made to create the image of a luxury sporty car and the 302 eight cylinder engine was back. Despite these changes there was a freefall in Mustang sales, with 188,575 units sold in 1975, down a dramatic 51% versus the prior year.

The product mix was consistent with the the big sellers being the Hardtop coupe and Ghia models, making up 45% and 27% respectively of total sales. The hatchback body in both standard and Mach 1 guise sold 30,038 units and 21,062 respectively.
