1985 Ford Mustang Production & Sales Numbers

A few cosmetic changes were made to the Mustang in 1985 as well as some updates to the 5.0L HO. The good news is that Mustang saw its second year of volume growth with sales up 10.63% to 156,514 units sold.

Product mix stayed about the same as the prior year, with the hatchback the hot seller and accounting for over 50% of all units sold. The SVO sold 1,515 units and accounted for 1% of sales. The convertible came in at just under 10% of total sales while the hardtop sold 56,781 units and was 36% of sales volume.
