1988 Ford Mustang Production & Sales Numbers

Mustang sales bounced back from a 1987 decline back to growth in 1988. 211,225 Mustangs were sold in 1988, up from 169,772. That 24.42% growth was the last growth year Mustang saw until 1993, the final year of the 3rd generation Mustang. In terms of product mix, the convertible continued to account for about 15% of total sales while the hatchback led the pack, accounting for 60% of sales and the hardtop coupe was 25% of sales volume.
