1977 Ford Mustang Production & Sales Numbers

Ford was seriously attempting to increase comfort and looks in 1977. Despite the changes, Mustang sales dropped again, by 18% ti 153,173 units (down from 187,567 in 1976).

The product mix was consistent with the the big sellers being the Hardtop coupe and Ghia models. The Cobra II packages which looked similar to the early Shelbys sold very well with 11,948 units sold in 1977.
