This 1966 Mustang has been fully modernized and upgraded to possess the driving characteristics and comforts of a contemporary muscle car while maintaining the classic 1966 body. The vehicle was discovered as a “barn find” and subsequently underwent extensive reconstruction and enhancement from 2017 to 2018 by Jarit Johnson Restorations.
The restoration involved a complete rebuild in right-hand-drive configuration, with the inclusion of power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, RHD body metal manufactured to factory specifications, and an Ididit safety steering column. The windshield wipers and wash function have also been reversed to make the right wiper the primary one.
To provide the car with ample power, a new Roush-prepared 5.0-litre Coyote V8 crate engine has been installed and paired with a Tremec TKO five-speed manual gearbox, hydraulic racing clutch, and 3.96:1 ratio Positraction third member. Cooling is aided by a thermostatic fan shrouded to a 4-core aluminium radiator.
