The GT350 ended its run in 2020 as Ford and Shelby shifted focus to the GT500 program. Shelby had boosted the GT350 significantly in 2019 with various enhancements and optional features, leading to minimal changes for the 2020 models. Despite its 526 HP 5.2L Voodoo V8 not being the most powerful, the GT350 excelled in handling and emitted a distinct exhaust note reminiscent of high-end European cars.
Shelby’s introduction of the GT350R catered to track enthusiasts with a finely-tuned suspension for precise handling. However, its aggressive setup made it impractical for daily use, contrasting with the more versatile GT350. The latter became a favorite among performance enthusiasts for its robust power, well-tuned chassis, and captivating exhaust sound.
This 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R features the optional GT350 Heritage Package ($1,965), finished in the classic Wimbledon White with blue racing stripes reminiscent of the original 1965 racing editions. This essentially new example has only delivery mileage, with just 11 miles on the odometer.
Equipped with a 5.2-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual and Torsen differential, it also features the Technology Package, carbon-fiber accents, 19-inch carbon-fiber wheels, Brembo brakes, a carbon-fiber wing, Recaro seats, and Bang & Olufsen audio with voice-activated navigation.
