The 2022 Ford Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition celebrates the 55th anniversary of the original Mustang-based Shelby GT500, serving as a fitting tribute to the final iteration of this generation, similar to the Heritage editions of the 2006 Ford GT and 2020 Shelby GT350.
Drawing inspiration from the iconic 1967 GT500, the 2022 model sports a striking Brittany Blue paint job with two stripe options: Wimbledon White or Absolute Black. Standard vinyl stripes are included, while a hand-painted option is available for an additional $12,500.
With only 275 miles on the odometer, this GT500 Heritage Edition currently listed for sale on PCARMARKET builds on the GT500’s already impressive performance. The supercharged 5.2-liter Predator V8 engine, producing 760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque, is the most powerful engine ever installed in a production Mustang.
Enhancing its performance further, the $18,500 optional Carbon Fiber Track Pack is available, and the Technology Package includes a Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker stereo, an 8-inch voice-activated SYNC 3 touch screen, navigation, and a blind spot/cross-traffic alert system.
Ford also equipped the GT500 with Launch Control and Line Lock, ensuring powerful starts on the dragstrip. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, a Magneride damping system, and Brembo brake calipers with 2-piece vented rotors significantly elevate the car’s handling and braking capabilities.
Inside, the GT500 features Recaro seats with ebony leather and gray accents, a 12-inch instrument panel LCD screen, electronic power steering, dual-zone climate control, a tilt-telescoping steering column, and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, providing a luxurious and performance-focused interior.
