The 2024 Mustang Dark Horse Premium has already earned its place as one of the most exciting high-performance pony cars in Ford’s storied history. Currently up for grabs on Bring A Trailer, this Blue Ember Metallic coupe has only 9 miles on the odometer, making it a pristine example of the latest Mustang innovation.
Under the hood lies a naturally aspirated, all-aluminium, 32-valve Gen-4 Coyote V8 engine. With 500 horsepower at 7,250 RPM and 418 lb-ft of torque at 4,900 RPM, this powerhouse delivers raw performance. Enhanced by the four-mode Active Valve Performance Exhaust, the signature exhaust note channels a NASCAR-inspired symphony that will turn heads. The rev-matching Tremec 6-speed manual transmission is exclusive to the Dark Horse, paired with a 3.73:1 Torsen differential.
Ford’s engineers equipped the Dark Horse with advanced technology to elevate its driving dynamics. Selectable-effort electronic power steering, a specialized powertrain and chassis tune, and MagneRide damping all contribute to exceptional handling. Paired with Pirelli P-Zero tyres mounted on lightweight 19-inch carbon fibre wheels, the Dark Horse is built for precision. Braking is equally impressive, thanks to Brembo disc brakes with massive 15.4-inch front and 14-inch rear rotors, complemented by striking blue-painted callipers.
The Dark Horse’s Blue Ember Metallic paint is accentuated by a grey graphic surrounding the LED headlamps and trapezoidal air intakes. The aggressive styling is further enhanced by a revised front bumper, front splitter, lower side skirts, and darkened quad exhaust tips integrated into the updated rear fascia.
Inside, the Dark Horse offers a driver-centric cabin. Highlights include a fully programmable widescreen display, push-button start, and Recaro seats with black-and-blue upholstery that extends to the door panels.
