Hennessey has unveiled the Super Venom Mustang, a high-performance, limited-edition model celebrating the company’s founding in 1991. With 850 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, the upgraded Mustang significantly outperforms the stock 5.0L V8, which originally produces 500 hp. This power boost comes from a high-flow air induction system, supercharger, upgraded fuel injectors, and enhanced engine management.
The Super Venom Mustang accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds, faster than the standard Dark Horse’s 3.7 seconds. It also improves on the stock quarter-mile time, running 10.9 seconds at 133 mph, compared to 12 seconds at 118.4 mph for the Dark Horse.
To complement its increased performance, Hennessey has developed the ‘VenomAero’ carbon fiber package, which enhances both handling and cooling. This aerodynamic kit includes a more aggressive front splitter, a functional hood vent, side skirts, fender louvers, a redesigned rear deck lid with a ducktail spoiler, and a tall rear wing that improves stability at high speeds.
Limited to just 91 units, the car features a ‘91 Icon’ livery and is available in black, silver, or red, with factory paint options. The interior features custom leather and Alcantara seats, along with a serialized plaque.
John Hennessey, the company’s founder and CEO, highlights the Venom name’s legacy: “Over the years we have only branded our most potent cars with our ‘Venom’ trademark: Venom Vipers, Venom GT and most recently our Venom F5. We are excited to unveil our SUPER VENOM Mustang as it offers supercar performance and can now be ordered directly from Ford dealers with a full warranty! Further, we are excited to commemorate our company’s founding in 1991 by offering only 91 units and a unique ’91 Icon’ livery.”
The Super Venom Mustang is available for purchase through select Ford dealerships as well as directly from Hennessey. Pricing starts at $149,950 for the Super Venom GT, while the Super Venom Dark Horse is offered at $163,950. Both variants come with Ford’s full factory warranty, along with an additional three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty from Hennessey.
