The 1967 Shelby GT350 is one of the most iconic Mustangs in the Shelby series, known for its aggressive design and performance improvements. The redesigned model featured extended front and rear fascias, a fiberglass hood with functional hood scoop, and large 7-inch driving lights on the grille.
Inside, upgrades included a 2-point roll bar, inertia reel harnesses, and a redesigned dash with an 8,000 RPM tachometer, 140 MPH speedometer, and Stewart Warner gauges. The car featured a 289 cubic-inch V8 engine, producing 306 HP, capable of 0-60 MPH in 7 seconds with a top speed of 140 MPH.
This particular 1967 GT350 was completed on May 18, 1967, and invoiced to Hayes Motor Co. of South Sioux City, Nebraska, on June 16. However, it was damaged in transit when the train it was on derailed, affecting several other Shelbys.
The car was later sold by Southern Pacific Railway and eventually acquired by its current owner in 1991. A refurbishment, reportedly by Mustangs & More of Ventura, California, included repainting in its original Wimbledon White.
It is now powered by a replacement Dove Engineering 347ci stroker V8, a four-speed manual transmission, black vinyl upholstery, power steering, custom exhaust, Koni shocks, PerTronix ignition, power-assisted front disc brakes, and a folding rear bench seat.
This 1967 GT350 now available for sale on Bring A Trailer is documented with a Deluxe Marti report, original invoice copy, service records, refurbishment photos, and a clean title.
