With just 219 miles on the odometer, this 2007 Ford Mustang Saleen Parnelli Jones Edition is a pristine example of the limited-run tribute car. Designed by Steve Saleen in honor of Parnelli Jones, who won the 1970 Trans-Am championship in a Boss 302 Mustang, this special-edition model is #202 of only 500 produced.
Inspired by Jones’ legendary race car, every Saleen PJ was finished in Grabber Orange with black “302” hockey-stick stripes and exclusive Saleen-designed body enhancements. These include a functional Shaker hood scoop, unique front and rear fascias, rear spoiler, rear window slats, and 19-inch Minilite-style wheels.
Under the hood, a hand-built 302 CI 3-valve V8 delivers 400 HP and 390 lb-ft of torque thanks to ported heads, performance camshafts, a tuned induction system, and a 2.5-inch exhaust. Handling is enhanced by Saleen Racecraft suspension with N2 coilover struts, upgraded sway bars, and a Watts-link, while Saleen brakes with slotted rotors and 4-piston calipers provide stopping power.
Inside, this Mustang features black bucket seats with orange inserts, a 200 MPH speedometer, a gauge pod, a short-throw shifter, and custom badging. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission and a 3.73:1 Traction-Lok differential.
This highly collectible Saleen Mustang comes with a dashboard signed by Steve Saleen and Parnelli Jones, as well as its original window sticker and purchase documents. Bidding is currently open on Bring A Trailer with 4 days left as of this writing.
