FOR SALE: 2008 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR

Offered with only 25 miles since new

The 2008 GT500KR marked the 40th anniversary of the original “King of the Road” and was a collaboration between Ford and Carroll Shelby’s team. Standard GT500s were sent to Shelby Automobiles in Las Vegas for performance upgrades, including revised ignition, air/fuel calibration, dual exhaust, and cold air intake, increasing output to 540hp.

Ford Racing dampers, stabilizer bars, and a strut tower brace replaced stock parts, with tuning by the Special Vehicles Team. It achieved 0-60 mph in 4 seconds and a mid-12-second quarter mile. Cosmetic updates included a carbon fiber hood with twin nostrils, carbon fiber mirror caps and splitter, and 18-inch Shelby Alcoa wheels with KR-specific Goodyear F1 tires, delivering 1G cornering capability.

With just 25 miles on the odometer, this 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR is #180 of 1,011 produced for the 2008 model year. Transformed from a factory GT500 at Shelby Automobiles, CSM No. 08KR0180 features a supercharged 5.4L DOHC V-8 upgraded to 540 hp paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

Finished in black with matte stripes over black leather upholstery, it features Carroll Shelby-embroidered headrests, a carbon fiber hood with functional vents, “40th Anniversary” badges, unique striping, a front splitter, a rear spoiler, and a Shaker audio system with a 6-disc changer.
