Up for sale on Bring A Trailer is a 2017 Ford Mustang GT Premium convertible, extensively modified as a collaboration between Petty’s Garage and R-M Paints for display at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The car features a range of upgrades, including Petty’s Garage lowering springs, adjustable sway bars, and a wheel hop reduction kit. Additional modifications include a revised throttle body, MagnaFlow axle-back exhaust, Cervini’s upper and lower grilles, American Racing long-tube headers, heavy-duty axle shafts, Wilwood disc brakes, and 20″ HRE wheels.
The exterior has been repainted in striking R-M Diamont Grabber Blue, complemented by silver pearl stripes and matching accents on the front lip spoiler, side skirts, and rear diffuser. Inside, the cabin showcases black leather seats with microsuede inserts, while the front seats are embroidered with Petty’s Garage branding on the backrests.
Under the hood, the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 has been enhanced with a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger, a revised throttle body, American Racing long-tube headers, and a MagnaFlow axle-back exhaust. These modifications boost the engine’s output to an impressive 825 horsepower and 670 lb-ft of torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
