At the 2015 North American International Auto Show, Ford Performance unveiled the third-generation GT350R, a track-focused Mustang equipped with a 526-horsepower flat-plane crank V8. Engineered for performance, it featured a front splitter, carbon fiber rear wing, and lightweight carbon fiber wheels paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The GT350R remained in production until 2020, with the final models paying homage to Carroll Shelby’s legendary 1965 GT350R.
One of the final 2020 GT350R models, a Heritage Edition, is now listed for sale at Sotheby’s Motorsport. This example features the sought-after R Package, including 19-inch black-painted carbon fiber wheels, an adjustable rear wing, strut mounts, and staggered Michelin tires.
Its Wimbledon White paint with Guardsman Blue stripes, part of the Heritage Package, pays tribute to the iconic 1965 Shelby GT350, with unique vinyl side stripes enhancing the retro appeal. Of the 2020 production run, only 278 units were finished in this livery.
The interior includes the Technology Package, offering BLIS with cross-traffic alert, voice-activated navigation, and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system. With less than 1,200 miles on the odometer, this rare GT350R blends iconic design and high-performance engineering, delivering an exhilarating driving experience.
