At the 2015 North American International Auto Show, Ford Performance introduced the third-generation GT350R, powered by a 526 HP flat-plane crank V8 engine in a track-oriented Mustang body. Key features included a front splitter, carbon fiber rear wing, and lightweight carbon fiber wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
The GT350R was produced until 2020, marking the GT350’s 55th anniversary. In its final year, a Heritage Edition Package was offered for both the GT350 and GT350R models, paying homage to the 1965 GT350 with Wimbledon White paint, blue racing stripes, and unique interior and chassis details.
This particular 2020 GT350R, currently for auction on Bring A Trailer, features the Heritage Package ($1,965 option) and is finished in Wimbledon White with blue stripes. With just 28 miles on the odometer, it remains in near-new condition, retaining its protective seat covers.
Equipped with a Tremec 6-speed manual, engine and transmission coolers, MagneRide damping, adjustable strut mounts, active exhaust, and a Torsen differential with 3.73 gearing, it delivers high performance.
The interior features Recaro leather seats, carbon fiber trim, rear-seat delete, and the $2,000 Technology Package, adding features like blindspot monitoring, a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and navigation. This GT350R represents a rare chance to own a pristine example of the model’s final evolution.
