In 2022, Ford released a limited number of Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition Mustangs to honor the 1967 debut of Shelby’s big-block GT500. This particular model, chassis number N0933, has only 275 miles on the odometer and is currently available for purchase on Bring A Trailer.
Each Heritage Edition GT500 was painted in Brittany Blue, a nod to the 1967 model, and features hand-painted white over-the-top stripes, a $10,000 option in addition to the $2,140 cost of the Heritage Edition package.
This GT500 also includes the $18,500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack, which features 20-inch exposed carbon-fiber wheels with locks, an exposed carbon fiber rear wing, adjustable strut-top mounts, Recaro leather-trimmed seats, a rear-seat delete, and carbon fiber details on the instrument panel.
The 2022 Shelby GT500 was the most powerful street-legal Ford ever built until the introduction of the Mustang GTD, thanks to its 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine generating 760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque. This power is managed by a Tremec 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, driving an independent rear end with a Torsen differential and 3.73:1 gears.
