Ford Unveils A Special Package For The Upcoming Mustang GTD

In mid-2023, Ford captivated enthusiasts with the debut of the 2025 Mustang GTD, a street-legal powerhouse created in collaboration with Multimatic, known for their work on the GT supercar.

Before the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford unveiled the Mustang GTD Carbon Series, a special edition emphasizing carbon fiber, which remains exposed on the hood, roof, and sections of the decklid. Catering to Ford’s most affluent clientele, both the standard and Carbon Series versions of the Mustang GTD now offer an all-new Performance Package.

This package elevates the capabilities of the road-legal widebody track car with a redesigned front fascia featuring a larger splitter and dive planes, complemented by underbody flaps and a new rear wing equipped with a drag reduction system.

Included in this exclusive upgrade is a Lightweight Package that sheds weight by removing some sound-deadening materials and equipping the car with lightweight 20-inch magnesium wheels in a distinctive five-arm Y-spoke design.

Inside, the Mustang GTD showcases its enhanced driving experience with large 3D-printed titanium paddle shifters, Recaro seats, and a thick-rimmed flat-bottom steering wheel clad in Dinamica and leather. Integrated controls for suspension and exhaust adjustments are conveniently placed on the steering wheel, ensuring seamless operation.

New buttons on the hero panel provide access to Track Apps and a front-axle lift function for improved navigation over obstacles. The interior is further enhanced with a digital gauge cluster featuring unique graphics and Sync 4 system integration, keeping drivers informed and focused.

While pricing for the Mustang GTD Carbon Series and Performance Package remains undisclosed, enthusiasts anticipate a substantial premium over the standard Mustang GTD’s approximate $325,000 MSRP.
