To commemorate the 50th anniversary of their original GT350H “Rent-A-Racer,” Ford Motor Company, Shelby American, and Hertz Corporation introduced the 2016 Ford Shelby Hertz GT-H Anniversary Edition. This special edition was unveiled at the Classic Car Club Manhattan in New York City in March 2016 and was exclusively available through the Hertz Adrenaline Collection, limited to just 171 units.
Based on the Mustang GT, the GT-H features special enhancements from both Shelby and Ford Racing. It boasts iconic black paint with gold stripes, a distinctive carbon-fiber front splitter and rear spoiler, a high-rise hood, front grilles, and Shelby/Hertz badges.
The GT’s 5.0L V-8 engine, producing 435 HP, is paired with a paddle-shifted 5-speed automatic transmission, enabling it to reach 60 MPH in just 4.5 seconds. The power is delivered through a unique Ford Racing Handling Package with Michelin Pilot Sport tires on 19-inch cast aluminum Performance Pack wheels. The well-equipped black interior includes heated and ventilated power front seats, air conditioning, navigation, a backup camera, an AM/FM stereo with CD player, and GT-H floor mats.
