The 2018 Shelby Super Snake was a muscle car on steroids. Its 5.0-liter V8 roared with a supercharger, offering 710 horsepower or an earth-shattering 800+ with a Whipple upgrade. Performance upgrades included a special cooling system, exhaust, and heavy-duty drivetrain. Both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions were available, with the automatic getting a dedicated cooler.
Handling received a Shelby makeover too. A Ford Performance suspension kit was standard, with a track-tuned option available. Wilwood brakes with massive calipers ensured stopping power. The 2018 Shelby Super Snake showcased a unique level of tenacity, posting 0-60 MPH times of only 3.5 seconds.
Cosmetically, the Super Snake was a beast. A custom body kit with fascias, hood, grille, and spoilers transformed the look. Shelby badges adorned the car, leaving no doubt about its pedigree. The interior got the Shelby treatment as well. Signature floor mats and door sills greeted passengers, while Katzkin leather with Shelby stitching and A-pillar gauges provided a driver-focused environment.
