Mustang Of The Day: 2018 Ford Mustang Trans Am Race Car

This Ford Mustang was custom-built for Steve Burns, the founder of VP Racing Fuels, by BC Race Cars in Ontario, Canada. Designed for Trans Am competition, the car features a carbon-fiber body attached to a tubular steel chassis and is powered by a Roush-Yates 358ci V8 engine paired with an EMCO Gears EG5S five-speed sequential manual transmission.

The car is equipped with a Wilson intake manifold, MSD ignition system, and an ATL fuel cell. It rides on 16″ Bogart wheels, with Öhlins Racing coilovers, adjustable sway bars, and Brembo brake calipers.

Inside the race-ready cabin, you’ll find a roll cage, fire suppression system, OMP steering wheel, Motec digital display, Butlerbuilt racing seat, Motorola radio, and multiple cameras for enhanced visibility.
