Throughout its tenure, the Mustang has continually evolved, growing evermore advanced in every perceivable facet along the way. However, few derivatives of the Mustang lineup have reached such refined status as those which fall under the “GT” namesake.
Today, the 2022 Mustang GT sets the bar quite high, blending unwavering street credibility with mind-numbing straight line performance. With a base output of 450 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, there is likely no better time than the present, to be in the market for a new Mustang GT.
No matter how you slice it, the 2022 Mustang GT is not for the faint-of-heart, or for those seeking out the bare minimum. As flamboyant as it is powerful, the 2022 Mustang GT pulls no punches when laying rubber to the pavement, nor is it likely to play second fiddle to anything else on the block, in terms of aesthetic appeal.
Additional mechanical highpoints of the 2022 Mustang GT include the addition of Ford’s GT Performance package. As part of this package, all GT-series Mustangs come outfitted with 6-piston Brembo front brake calipers, high-performance suspension components, and Torsen rear gears (3.73 manual/3.55 automatic).
Also of interest, is the wide array of premium amenities found within the Mustang’s cabin. Some of the most notable of these features include a full range of infotainment and connectivity capabilities, blind spot monitoring, and a rearview camera.
Externally, the 2022 Mustang GT looks stunning, if not downright aggressive. Included are integrated hood vents, sequential taillights, and a raised decklid spoiler. Additionally, consumers can opt for the addition of over-the-top racing stripes as well, for an additional fee.
